Ages:6-12 years
Description:This class involves no parental involvement. At this age, we feel that children will benefit from the dynamics of a small group and a caring, competent instructor. Children will be asked to challenge themselves by trying new things. The emphasis in this class is on basic water skills such as assisted and unassisted floating, blowing bubbles and retrieving items from the bottom of shallow (4 to 5 foot) area. Listening to instructions and working within a group are stressed along with important water safety lessons. The beginner level class includes activities that build confidence while increasing the child’s comfort and feel for the water. Finally, children will become comfortable swimming underwater.
Ages:12-35 months
Description:This class is a wonderful way for parents to bond with their children in the water. Learn how to hold your child in the water so that both you and she feel safe and comfortable. Teach your child to kick, blow bubbles, jump in and climb out of the pool, float, and glide. Use of games, songs, and toys keep children engaged, while bonding time with mom or dad makes this experience memorable for both parties. Children love this class! Please note parents are required to be in the pool with the child.
