In an increasingly complex and interconnected world, the demand for citizens who think critically, analyze carefully, and understand language, literature, and cultures has never been more crucial. The English Major, English Minor and Writing Minor at Gallaudet University are designed to meet this demand and foster a vibrant community of scholars who critically engage with reading and writing English in a variety of forms and in various approaches to text generation. All English majors must complete at least one internship during their time at Gallaudet. Gallaudet faculty and staff help students obtain hands-on positions that provide valuable professional experience and contacts.
