Welcome Home Address

We welcome our Bison to the new school year with an inspiring address from President Roberta J. Cordano and a campus festival.


Our beloved Bison alumni return to campus to show their school spirit with the current students, faculty and staff as they cheer on their athletes. Class reunions are the highlight for our alumni.

State of the University

The university’s latest innovative progress and are presented by President Roberta J. Cordano each spring.

Bison Tank

The Bison Tank Business Competition for students is hosted by the Gallaudet Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute (GIEI). Come and watch how creative and entrepreneurial our students are!


Gallaudet University’s Commencement ceremony is hosted in May for our students, staff, faculty, families, and friends to get together to celebrate our graduating students’ academic achievements.

Charter Day

Charter Day is held every year in April to celebrate our university’s birthday; President Lincoln signed Gallaudet University’s charter in 1864.
