Gallaudet University senior sprinter Eric Gregory wrote his name in NCAA Division III Men’s Indoor Track and Field history on Sunday, January 7 when he set a new national record in the 300-meter dash with a time of 33.27 seconds.

Gregory won the 300-meter dash event at the Virginia Commonwealth University Indoor Invitational held at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.

Gregory erased the previous national record time of 33.64 seconds set in December 2022 by Cheickna Traore of Ramapo College of New Jersey.

The 300-meter dash time of 33.27 seconds is also a Gallaudet school record.

Gregory, a three-time All-American in track and field, also ran the 60-meter dash, but did not qualify for the final.
