Gallaudet University’s Board of Trustees provides leadership for the university’s strategic initiatives in addition to governance and financial oversight. The Board has 18 trustees, for which the bylaws require a deaf majority, in addition to three Congressional appointees. All official contacts must go through the Office of the President.
