Ms. Darian Burwell Gambrell attended Kendall Demonstration Elementary School and Gallaudet University. She is known at Gallaudet for her student-centered management; she oversaw the Office of Student Success and had a leadership role on the JumpStart and Peer Mentoring program. She served as a special assistant for diversity relations during Dr. Robert Davila’s presidency and has since cultivated a reputation as an engaging facilitator on diversity and inclusion dialogues. She was employed at Gallaudet University in different roles for 16 years.

In 2017 Ms. Gambrell was a manager at the Raleigh regional center of the North Carolina Division of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services, which has seven regional centers across the state.

Since 2021, she is now Executive Director at DEAF, Inc. in Boston, MA where they have 5 regional offices throughout the Eastern part of MA. She recently received her certificate from Institute for Nonprofit Management and now is in the 2024 YW LeadBoston Leadership Series.
