Off-Campus Opportunities

The ODI Internship program offers you the chance to apply your skills to the execution of a robust diversity strategy. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to support existing efforts such as the implementation of structured programs to support communities traditionally underrepresented in medicine.

Innovation Fellow – Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Georgetown University

The ODI Fellowship program provides you with the opportunity to translate your knowledge of diversity issues to cultural change on the medical school campus. You will be responsible for researching, designing, and overseeing long term projects that address ODI’s areas of focus. As part of this task, you will develop detailed action memos drawing from the latest research and metrics. You will be viewed as a leader of your project, responsible for coordinating team efforts and presenting the final product.

Intern – U.S. Department of Homeland Security

The Screening Coordination Office at the HQ Office of Policy, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) seeks capable enthusiastic graduate students for an internship. The internship program offers the opportunity to be an integral part of the team and experience the day-to-day work of policy advisers at DHS.

Sr. Field Engineer – Evolver, Inc.

The position will provide Telework Depot assistance to user who pickup user-specific equipment. Fulfill user-specific equipment requests in response to Service Desk ITSM/Remedy tickets.

Technical Writer – Evolver, Inc.

Assist with end-user documentation for users and communicate with user community via email and organizations intranet and public website. Designs, writes and edits USPTO-centric end-user documentation using Adobe Creative cloud products, with an emphasis on Adobe InDesign and Adobe DreamWeaver, and Microsoft Office products, among other duties.

Gallaudet University Part-Time, On-Campus Opportunities

Kiosk Guard/University Welcome Ambassador – Department of Public Safety

Under the guidance of the DPS Supervisors, the main responsibility of the Kiosk Guard/University Welcome Ambassador will be to occupy the Florida Avenue/8th Street Kiosk to monitor all vehicles and pedestrians and welcome them to campus.

Client Support Service – Technology Services

Will be responsible for providing tier-one client support to Gallaudet students; engage in the planning, implementation, and presentation of technology workshops and presentations to Gallaudet students; communication of information to Gallaudet students, promoting end-user awareness and empowerment. Answer client’s questions; Supervise the operations of the HMB W121 Express Lab; Assist with basic repairs of students’ computers.

HelpDesk Support – Technology Services

Assist clients with creating helpdesk tickets; Answer client’s questions; Supervise the operations of the HMB W121 Express Lab; Assist with pickups and drop-offs of media loaners; Assist with basic repairs of students’ computers.

Media Support Technician – Technology Services

Deliver Set Up and Pick Up media equipment according to assignments; test CART equipment prior to start of class or meetings; Troubleshoot classroom technology issues as reported; Inspect classroom equipment for issues; Restock classroom supplies as needed.
