A poster presentation is a graphic representation that illustrates a study by using text, graphs, photos, tables, and figures in a poster format. Presenters hold discussions about their study with participants who circulate through the poster session. Many poster presenters find it helpful to provide a brief introduction to their study and allow time for viewers to ask questions.
Tips for Creating a Poster Presentation Posters should include the title of the presentation and the name of the researcher(s). Letters in the title should be at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) high. The poster should be well labeled and legible from a distance of approximately 10 feet (3 m). Use a large font size, and avoid the use of fancy fonts. Sans serif fonts (such as Veranda) are much easier to read than are serif fonts. Using upper and lowercase letters helps readability.

Symposium Poster Requirements Posters should be approximately 3 x 3 feet (91,5 x 106,6 cm) in size. Posters may have either a vertical or horizontal orientation. Please contact the Poster Session Coordinator, Dr. Giulia Petitta.
Symposium Poster Session The Symposium poster session will take place in the Hall Memorial Building on Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Presenters should remain by their posters for the duration of the three-hour session. A storage room in the Hall Memorial Building will be available for poster storage and use while preparing to hang the poster.
