Gallaudet University faculty, students, and staff involved in “human subjects research” are required to complete research ethics training, such as those listed below:
Collaborators and co-authors who are not affiliated with Gallaudet University, as well as the faculty advisors of graduate student researchers, are not required to complete or submit proof of such training. However, the Gallaudet IRB recommends that all researchers involved in human subjects research complete ethics training. (The principal investigators involved in collaborative projects with colleagues at other institutions are responsible for ensuring ethical research activity.)
Most training certificates do not expire. Below are some training options that have been approved. Gallaudet can verify your certification with the CITI Program only if you are affiliated with the University.
CITI does not have a time limit. You may take the modules/courses as often as you want. Gallaudet requires at least an 80 percent passing grade (averaged out from the different modules).
