GUAA to present awards to six people at its annual Charter Day event on April 15
The Gallaudet University Alumni Association and its Clerc Cultural Committee will honor six individuals during their annual Charter Day Awards Reception on Saturday, April 15 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Peikoff Alumni House (“Ole Jim”). Guthrie Nutter, G-’15, will be emcee.
This year’s awardees are:
Gallaudet University Alumni Association Awards
GUAA Advocacy and Social Justice Award in honor of Gertrude Scott Galloway, ’51, PhD ’93 & H-’02
Dr. Carolyn C. McCaskill, ’77, G-’79 & PhD ’05
GUAA Outstanding Young Alumnus Award
Jacob D. Leffler, ’10 & G-’15
GUAA Service to Others Award in honor of Pauline “Polly” Peikoff, E-’36
Marcia A. Zisman, ’80Clerc Cultural Committee Awards
Clerc Cultural Committee Award in Advocacy
Dr. Nancy Hlibok Amann, ’93 & G-’96

Tickets to the awards reception are $75; proceeds will go to the GUAA Laurent Clerc Cultural Fund, which provides grants for arts and cultural projects. Please register by April 7.
