On September 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed by the members of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The U.S. Constitution serves as the supreme law of the United States of America and is the framework for the United States government.

September 17 is marked as Constitution Day to commemorate the signing of the constitution and to encourage all generations of citizens of the United States of America to celebrate the freedom created for the people of our nation.

To celebrate this important event in our nation’s history, there are various activities being held across the country.
