A new showcase by ViacomCBS includes three alumni and a student. Jonathan “Jonaz” McMillan, ’10, Director of American Sign Language (ASL), Rosa Lee Timm, E- ’97, Deaf Rap Choreographer, and current student, terrylene, Pre-Production of ASL, served on the production team and Dickie Hearts, ’09 plays Billie Upton in the showcase. 

ViacomCBS showcase is a highly produced, pre-filmed hour of sketch comedy and comedic music video. It features talent from around the country, creating original and creative material, with the intent of spotlighting diverse talent. The showcase is attended by senior-level executives, showrunners, and casting directors from ViacomCBS properties, as well as other networks and talent agents/managers, from across the entertainment industry. Each showcase has about 15 short stories. Each performer is set up with executive mentors as a resource for their career beyond the showcase. 

Past showcases have brought exposure and launched countless careers. Specifically, the most recent 2021 and 2020 showcases have resulted in numbers of bookings for participants on ViacomCBS properties including: 4440 (CW/CBS Studios, The Chi (Showtime), Games People Play (BET), and more.
