Workday Student – Next Phase of...
We are thrilled to share an exciting update on our Operational Transformation program! Since its launch in the summer of 2021, this program has been focused on enhancing the overall experience for our employees and students. Today, we’re thrilled to announce the next phase that involves the implementation of Workday Student, a key milestone in our journey towards a brighter future.
Fostering Synergy with our Implementation Partner (Huron) We take immense pride in informing you that this transformation is a strategic collaboration between dedicated members of the GU community and our partners at Huron. Together, we have formed a formidable team, working hand in hand to support our OT Goals. Our Workday Student project team comprises key stakeholders who are employees of Gallaudet University, ensuring that the project remains deeply aligned with the unique needs and aspirations of our community. Alongside them, our partners at Huron bring their specialized expertise and knowledge, enriching our collective effort towards a successful implementation.
Workday Student – A Tool for Empowerment: Workday Student is a powerful technology, but let’s remember that it’s just a tool in our mission to revolutionize our operational processes. The ultimate goal remains the same – to improve the experiences of our students and employees. This technology will enable us to realize the process changes we have envisioned and set the stage for a brighter future.
Stay Informed with new Webpages: To keep you up to date with the progress of this project and the larger Operational Transformation program, we have established a program webpage and project subpages. These pages will be frequently updated, becoming a reliable source of information for our community. Additionally, we are excited to announce that all updates and key information will also be distributed through “myGU,” our university’s social media platform. All posts on social media will reference the website as an archive location of information and new updates. This ensures that you can access the latest developments through multiple channels effortlessly.

In addition, key stakeholders representing cross-functional and important academic areas such as, Institutional Effectiveness and Instructional Design, Continuing Education, International Affairs are also represented in the day-to-day project work.
