Guide to Paying Your Student Account Balance

Please see the following steps to access Transact in Workday:

Step 1: Navigate to Menu and click My Financials
Step 2: Once in My Financials, click Make a Payment – Transact
Step 3: A new window will open in Transact with your student account information on the Overview tab
Step 4: Click the following options:

• My Account – Add a payment method, grant third-party access to payers on your account, or sign up for SMS text notifications
• Activity Details – View an itemized list of charges
• Make a Payment – Submit a payment toward your student account balance
• Transactions – View all payments made to your account
• Statements – View your electronic billing statement

Online Payments:
All online payments can be made quickly and conveniently through Transact. All students can access Transact via Workday. Parents, guardians, and Vocational Rehabilitation counselors may be granted third-party access to Transact once the student provides permission. Through Transact, secure electronic payments can be made from a checking or savings account at no charge.

Credit Card Payments:
Gallaudet University does not accept credit card payments for student accounts by telephone. All credit card payments must be made through Transact. Gallaudet accepts American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover. No additional service fees are charged for debit or credit card payments. Credit card payments cannot be refunded once successfully processed.

Returned Card Payments:
A service fee and additional processing fees may be posted to your student account if a card payment is returned, whether paid by you or a third party. It may take up to three business days for a returned payment to appear on the account.

Mail Options:
Please include the student’s name and GU student ID number on all check or money order payments.

Returned Check Payments:
A $35 returned payment fee will be posted to the student account if a payment is returned, whether paid by you or a third party.

International Payments:
Please include the student’s name and GU student ID number. International students may make payments via GallyPay (select the International Payment option) or by wire transfer.
