Intercultural Alliances

Intercultural Alliances (IA) is committed to supporting people in their journey of discovery of their participation (passive and active) in systems of oppression with the aim of creating a more equitable, accessible, and welcoming environment for members of marginalized communities.   

Goals:

1. To increase intercultural competence
2. To develop the knowledge and skills needed to navigate a multicultural world
3. To increase racial identity awareness, recognizing bias, and analyze the different forms of racism
4. To cultivate participants who are passionate about addressing and closing equity gaps
5. To engage in sustained and transformational courageous intergroup dialogues and campus-wide dialogues.
