Dominic Lacy

Dominic Lacy is a member of the Executive Team at Gallaudet University, serving as the Chief Operating Officer where he takes his 15 years of experience leading operational excellence and new capital investment initiatives to optimize the Gallaudet student and employee experience. He blends the qualities of an active Leader, Consultant, and Operational Strategist to support Gallaudet University’s key long-range plans pertaining to technology roadmaps, capital investments, organizational governance, and culture. In addition to his COO role, Dominic serves as the Board President for Deaf Action Center where he leads strategy development and board governance as well as serves a Board Member for Deaf Kids Code.

In his COO role, Dominic directs Human Resources, Gallaudet Technology Services (GTS), Gallaudet Interpreting Services (GIS), Campus Design and Facilities, Campus Services, Department of Public Safety, Real Estate & Government Affairs and Business Development. His experience brings innovation and insight to business operations while driving excellence in cross-functional alignment for his 250-employee base. Prior to joining Gallaudet University, Dominic served as the Chief Innovation Officer for Communication Services for the Deaf (CSD), leading a $5M Social Venture Fund, where he managed funding due diligence and disbursement, identified executive mentorships for backed businesses, and provided his own personal leadership experience to support deaf-owned business growth. >p>>p> Prior to CSD, Dominic held a 14-year career at Accenture where he held multiple roles in Finance, Management Consulting, Global Operations, and Strategy Consulting. His work with Fortune 500 companies focused on realizing strategic objectives such as streamlining operational efficiencies, implementing new operating models, and developing strategies for how emerging and innovative technology will intersect with business and operations.

Dominic utilizes a structured methodology while leveraging best practices and his own consultative experience to develop bespoke approaches aligned to addressing organizational challenges. He's a strategic change manager with a strong sense of organizational and cultural awareness and responsibility to ensure the right governance model is in place to appropriately manage leaders and stakeholders.

He holds certifications from Accenture's Strategy College and Leadership Dallas. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Finance and an Executive MBA from Brown University and IE Business School.
