Academics

Post Office Headquarters is located at 900 Brentwood Avenue, N. E. Additional mail from the Curseen & Morris Station is delivered in the early afternoon. All mail is sorted by late afternoon.

Student mail is usually distributed by 4 p.m. (first-class letters and magazines). Students are notified of parcel and UPS packages by 4 p.m.

Mail for members of the campus community is delivered once each day. It is important that all intra-campus mail be addressed with the person’s name, department and building name. Campus mail addressed to students must have their mailbox number on it.

Outgoing mail is picked up during our delivery each day and returned to the Gallaudet Post Office. Mail going off campus is delivered to the Post Office headquarters once a day in the afternoon.

Bulk mailings to areas off campus must be sorted by zip code. Campus bulk mailings should be sorted by building. Student bulk mail must be in chronological order by campus mailbox number.

Note: Packages being shipped by another service (e.i. FedEx or DHL), are only dropped off to the GU Post Office. If you wish to ship a package with FedEx there is a drop off box in front of the Kellogg Conference Center. DHL shipping will have to be done off-campus.
