Dear Dr. Norman,

The National Black Deaf Advocates (NBDA) is the official advocacy organization for thousands of Black Deaf and hard of hearing people in the United States. Black deaf leaders were concerned that Black Deaf and hard of hearing Americans are not adequately represented in leadership and policy decision-making activities affecting their lives so they established NBDA in 1982. I am pleased to write this letter in support of the establishment of the National Museum of Deaf people. NBDA values and supports the efforts of preserving priceless history of Deafness, especially the Black Deaf History, in one central location. Please be assured the support of NBDA in your vision and goals.

Sincerely Yours,
Benro Ogunyipe, President
