Overview

Program Statement

The mission of Intercultural Alliances is to provide support, collaborate and share resources to increase diversity awareness and multicultural competency. Improved awareness and competency will lead to better relationships, which will help create a more equitable, welcoming environment for people of marginalized communities.

GOALS:

  1. To increase intercultural competence
  2. To develop the knowledge and skills needed to navigate a multicultural world
  3. To increase racial identity awareness, recognizing bias, and analyze the different forms of racism
  4. To cultivate participants who are passionate about addressing and closing equity gaps
  5. To engage in sustained and transformational courageous intergroup dialogues and wide dialogues.
  6. To participate in national, local and community outreach activities that advance the cause of social justice

  1. Turn-A-Page-Together (TAPT)
  2. Inclusive Excellence Student Ambassadors Program (IESA)
  3. Inclusive Excellence Ambassadors Program (IEA) for Faculty and Staff
  4. Antiracism and Diversity Training
  5. Affinity Group Dialogues and Campus-Wide Dialogues
  6. Restorative Practices

Inclusive Excellence Ambassadors
Inclusive Excellence Ambassadors serve as liaisons between the Division of Equity, Division and Inclusion and University units and divisions.
