Gerald “Bummy” Burstein

Gerald “Bummy” Burstein, ’50 & H-’86, passed away on Friday, August 31 at home in Moreno Valley, California. Bummy was 91 years old.
Bummy served on the Gallaudet University Alumni Association Board of Directors for nearly 30 years; including 13 years as president. He was also well known for his skills in parliamentary procedures; he was the first deaf person to earn the Certified Professional Parliamentarian designation of the American Institute of Parliamentarians.
