At the Translation in the Science of Learning Lab, TL2, we act as an important gateway between the Center’s research discoveries and society’s diverse learning environments, including schools, families and homes, museums, libraries, medical clinics, policymakers, and more.
We translate research discoveries from the Visual Language Learning and Learning Center into application in the wide range of learning environments that deaf children experience. We produce resources such as research briefs, information packages, and websites that summarize research in easy-to-read language for parents, educators, doctors, policymakers, and other professionals. We also provide training on bilingual education and language policy and oversee mechanisms for quality control and risk assessment for ASL products from VL2 and elsewhere.
