Season 2 of #IamGallaudet has officially launched! This year’s host is none other than Gallaudet alumnus and performer Warren “Wawa” Snipe, ’94. Known for his dynamic artistry and deep community roots, Wawa brings energy, authenticity, and heart to this next chapter of the campaign.

The #IamGallaudet series celebrates the rich diversity of experiences across the Gallaudet University community – students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters – whose stories illuminate the power and promise of learning in a bilingual space. Each episode reveals how Gallaudet has nurtured identity, growth, and purpose for generations.

One new episode is already live: a special conversation between Wawa and Melissa Elmira Yingst, ’00, who hosted Season 1. Their heartfelt exchange reflects the campaign’s celebration of Deaf experiences across the spectrum.

Wawa’s own Gallaudet story began with JumpStart (then known as the New Signer’s Program), where he first learned ASL and found his place in the Deaf community. From the Gallaudet Dance Company to the Wild Zappers, his time on campus helped launch a career in performance that continues to inspire audiences around the world.

Wawa is also organizing WAWABILITY 2025, a major cultural celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, taking place July 11-12  in Washington, D.C.

Stay tuned – more episodes of #IamGallaudet Season 2 are on the way!
