By deciding to attend Gallaudet it is clear that you intend to get an education so you can advance further in your life professionally, or maybe you want to deepen your knowledge on a certain subject. Most likely you are attending Gallaudet University because you want to better yourself in some way. The lessons you learn in the classroom will certainly help you achieve that goal, in addition, at Gallaudet University we are dedicated to ensuring that our students are advancing themselves beyond the classroom. We are dedicated to setting you up for greater success both as a student and a member of the community here and beyond. In an effort to further advance our students beyond the classroom, Gallaudet University has partnered with EverFi, whose mission is to help students address critical life skills such as alcohol abuse prevention, sexual assault prevention and financial literacy, in high schools and higher education institutions across the country. Gallaudet University mandates for new and transfer students to complete AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention Unit. These online courses will help you develop the critical skills to make more thoughtful and educated choices outsides the classroom. Our hope is that with these skills you will find greater success both here at Gallaudet University and well beyond after you graduate.
Part One is due to be completed in August and Part Two is due in October.
