Effectiveness of Telemental Health Services Among a Clinical Sample of Deaf and Hearing Consumers
Email Us
In the United States, serious mental illnesses are associated with lower quality of life, lower physical health, increased mortality rates, and lower functioning levels. In addition, those who are underserved and members of vulnerable populations are at greater risk for mental health outcome disparities.
There is limited research on culturally diverse individuals in the public mental health sector.
The purpose of this retrospective case study is to examine psychosocial factors among a clinical sample of 2,189 deaf adults receiving face-to-face and telemental health public behavioral health services in Maryland.
