Connect Emergency Communications/Alert System

Connect supports university emergency communications. With this system, you will receive emergency communications at your Gallaudet email address and any additional email addresses, phone numbers, and text numbers. You can set your preferences for receiving emergency messages, using one or all of these options. The emergency communications typically include information about school delays and closings due to inclement weather. It will also provides speedy distribution of information about serious or dangerous situations happening on or around campus, and instructions for what to do to remain safe in those situations. It is recommended that you set up your Connect profile using a personal email address (not a Gallaudet address). As part of the registration process, however, you will be asked to provide your Gallaudet ID number and your Gallaudet email address (you can find your ID number by logging into WorkDay). Only Gallaudet students, faculty, and staff can register in Connect. If you have friends or family members who also want to receive alerts from Gallaudet, you will need to add their contact information in your profile. Again, you will always receive emergency announcements to your Gallaudet email address. Lastly, if you wish, you can download the MyConnect App on your personal device and set up your profile.
