Emelia Beldon

Emelia Beldon is currently a Data and Assessment Specialist at the Office of Institutional Research with almost a year of experience and growing passion for working with data in all ways.

A little background, Emelia graduated summa cum laude from Gallaudet University in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology along with two minors; Mathematics and Data Science. She was a member of the Honors Program and completed a 3-semester-long capstone project on R by creating a package called diversityGV to measure diversity at Gallaudet University using the Generalized Variance approach.

Emelia was also a student-athlete during her time in college and played on the Women’s Soccer team for two and the Women’s Basketball team for four years at Gallaudet University. With her undeniable love for basketball, she wholeheartedly did not want to leave the sport after graduating, so she continues her participation in the program by being one of the assistant coaches for the GU Women's Basketball team.

In addition to her two roles on campus, she is also the special assistant to Warren Keller, the Athletic Director, supporting him in his dual roles on campus. 

When she’s not in front of the computer screen, Emelia loves working out, playing basketball, and trying/cooking vegan dishes!
