Ordering Textbooks Online— Instructions for Students

Students need to order their textbooks through their Bison Account (“Campus Solutions”). We encourage you to place your textbooks through this account rather than directly through the eCampus virtual bookstore because your Bison student account is where you will find your book voucher. You will be able to see that voucher after you log in your Bison account and after you select your books. If you order directly through the eCampus virtual bookstore, you will not see “Student Accounts – Book Vouchers” at check out. The list of your textbooks you see in your Bison account will be directly linked to the eCampus virtual bookstore. You will receive your book voucher in your Bison account from Student Financial Services within 24 hours of completing your business registration. The “Student Account–Book Voucher” will appear as payment at check out. You may make payment on your remaining balance after the voucher through PayPal, PayPal Credit, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. After you complete your business registration, follow the step-by-step instructions for ordering your textbooks:

• Go to my.gallaudet.edu
• Under the Key Links section on the right panel, click on Bison.
• You will be taken to another page. Click on Campus Solutions and log in once again with your Gallaudet user id and password.
• On the left panel, click on Self-Service. Under Enrollment, click on My Class Schedule. At the very top right corner, click on Buy Textbooks. You will be taken to the e-Campus virtual bookstore. The list of your course textbooks will automatically appear.
• Select whether you want to purchase a new, used, or rent your textbook (hardcopy) or rent your digital eBook.
• If you opt to rent your book, you will be asked for your credit card number before checkout as a deposit until you return your book at the end of the semester. Review your selections and then proceed to checkout.
• Ship to school will be the default shipping method. Type in your full name, not your nickname, to avoid any delays. Online students should clear the checkmark from the Ship to School box and then select their pre-filled address from the drop-down list or enter a new shipping address. For shipping costs, shipping is free for all orders totaling $59 or over. You will be charged for shipping if your order is under $59.00.
• If placing your order the first time, you will see $1,000 in your balance. Click on the Student Account (Book Voucher – $1,000). At checkout and under Payment Method, your remaining balance will show.
• Click Place Order on the blue box. You will receive your order confirmation email with your order number from eCampus. After the books have been shipped to the Bison Shop, you will receive an email notification from the Bison Shop when your books have arrived and are ready for pick up.
