Academics

Dear campus community,

I am writing to give you an update on the self-study process. As communicated in September, the accreditation process begins with our self-study process. Our bilingual self-study design was approved in June 2021 by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).

Since then, the eight work groups have begun in earnest. There are seven MSCHE standards, each of which has a dedicated work group with a chair or co-chairs, and a broad, diverse representation, including staff, faculty, and members of the Board of Trustees. The eighth work group is responsible for the collection of evidence we will use in our self-study report as well as verifying compliance with federal regulations and the requirements of affiliation with the MSCHE. The work of these groups is expected to span 12-18 months, through 2022.

These groups have been meeting regularly to develop their first draft. They are tasked with answering questions about our compliance with the MSCHE standards, collecting quantitative and qualitative data, conducting interviews, and preparing reports.

Meet the MSCHE working group committee members

We are proud of our working group committee members. You may view the full list of members by standard by downloading the roster here.
