How to Request Your CADE Transcript

Transcript

A transcript is an official record of the grades and credits earned from Gallaudet University. Registered CADE students may request official and unofficial transcripts. When CADE students become Gallaudet University students after high school, their courses, grades, and credits will already be on their Gallaudet University transcript. They do not need to request a transcript because Gallaudet will already have it.  If a student plans to attend a different college or university, they must request an official transcript to be sent there.

Steps to Request an Official Transcript

To transfer Gallaudet University credits, a student must request an official transcript from the Registrar’s Office. The CADE program office does not provide official transcripts. It is recommended that students use their personal email address instead of their school-issued email address, as information stored on their school email account may be lost after leaving high school.  

1. Students need to make sure their final grade(s) have been posted before ordering their transcripts to avoid incomplete transcripts and the expense of ordering additional transcripts.

2. Students need to find out exactly where their transcript should be sent. They will need this information when they request their transcript.

3. Students also need to have their Gallaudet University Student Identification number available.

4. Requesting an official transcript with Parchment is available online 24/7. Transcripts will be provided at a charge of $18.00 using Electronic or Regular Mail and increases with the Rush and FedEx options.

5. Gallaudet University policy and federal laws (FERPA) protect access to student records. Students are the only person authorized to request that an official Gallaudet University transcript be sent to another institution. Transcripts will not be sent in response to requests made by email, phone/videophone, or texts by an individual other than the student.

6. Check with the person or office where the student had their transcript sent to make sure it arrived.
