Stories of Deaf Returned Peace Corps Volunteers is a short documentary produced by Gideon Firl, ‘21, who started his internship at the Schuchman Center before the pandemic and completed the film while working remotely. The 14-minute film uses images from Deaf Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) and interview clips filmed in 2011 by Elizabeth Sorkin. The film highlights the relationships between Peace Corps Volunteers and communities they served, as well as the reciprocal learning that took place.
