Senda Benaissa truly has the best research interests of Gallaudet University at heart. She is devoted to cultivating a passion of research among students and faculty, because she knows they are the key to Gallaudet’s continued global leadership in discovering new and innovative ways to make life better for future generations of the deaf community.

She is sensitive to the needs of international scholars and has championed many causes for them to help them succeed academically at Gallaudet and to make them feel their culture and tradition is respected here.
