Instructional Design Manager

About

After graduating college and working for a few years, Lisa decided to grab the opportunity to travel & explore what was out there in the world. Lisa has spent years working with various Deaf associations and organizations abroad, providing support as a technology specialist and consulting in several countries about accessibility for the Deaf and DeafBlind communities. She has worked as a trainer and researcher in countries such as Kenya, Congo, Nepal, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka.

After years of travel, Lisa returned to D.C. and joined Gallaudet University as an eLearning Specialist. Shifting gears, she decided to contribute more to the International Deaf community by becoming the Mill Neck International Deaf Center Manager at Mill Neck International, focusing on developing, planning and driving the distribution of knowledge, courses, and resources in an online Resource Center available to anyone around the world working with the Deaf Community.

Lisa is now the Instructional Designer Manager of the Instructional Designer Services, leading a team of Instructional Designers supporting faculty and teaching staff with all things required for the classroom, be it face-to-face, online, or hybrid, under the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (IRE). She also is a Team Leader of the Center for Continuing Education.
