Dr. Gerardo Chacón is a Venezuelan mathematician. He has been teaching mathematics courses at Gallaudet University for eight years. Dr. Chacón has served in the University of Gallaudet’s Faculty Senate, in the Faculty Development Committee, and is currently serving in the STAMP Evaluation Committee. Dr. Chacón was also involved in the  creation of the Data Science minor. Dr. Chacón  has published several peer-reviewed articles in mathematics.  His research interests are mainly in the area of fundamental mathematics, specifically in Complex Analysis and Operator Theory, although he has recently been interested in the Theory of Resource Allocations. Dr. Chacón has also recently completed a second Masters Degree in Data Science.
