Ariel Pearson, a GIS Interpreter since 2004, holds a National Interpreter Certificate: Master, Certificate of Interpretation (CI), Certificate of Transliteration (CT) from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. In addition, Ariel holds a Master of Arts in Women Studies from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Deaf Studies: Communication Sciences from California State University at Northridge. Ariel has worked as a freelance interpreter in both the Washington DC Metropolitan Area as well as the San Francisco Bay Area, where she is from originally. Her area of interests include multiculturalism and gender/LGBT studies.
