To support the health and well-being of students, employees, and our communities, Gallaudet University and Clerc Center requires all Gallaudet and Clerc Center employees, all new and returning Gallaudet students, and all Clerc Center students 12 years of age and older who are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine to be fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated means that you have received at least two Moderna or Pfizer vaccines or one Johnson & Johnson vaccine, AND at least one booster vaccine.
The influenza (flu) vaccine is optional, but highly encouraged, for the 2022-2023 academic year. As masks become more widely optional, it is likely we will see a surge in cases of the influenza, common cold, and other common respiratory illnesses. The influenza vaccination will provide an additional layer of protection for you and the community.
This requirement applies to all employees and students, regardless of remote status or location. Exception: Remote non-matriculated students (e.g., ASL Connect students) are exempt from these requirements. However, if such students elect to come to campus, they must be in compliance with the University’s vaccination requirements.
Exemptions may be requested for a bona fide health condition or sincerely held religious belief. Please review and complete the exemption form.
If you have not already done so, please report and upload your vaccination card or medical record to the Student Health Service Patient Portal. Be sure the following information is included and legible: your full name, date of birth, type of vaccine received, the date(s) the vaccine was administered, and, for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, whether you have had one dose or both doses.
If you are unable to access the SHS Patient Portal, please email a photo or copy of your COVID-19 vaccination card or medical record to Contact here.
Vaccinations are periodically available to all eligible employees and students. Please make an appointment on the SHS Patient Portal.
