The Center for Continuing Education (CCE) is currently seeking innovative and inspiring content for new continuing education courses and programs to be offered through Gallaudet University. As part of our ongoing commitment to provide exceptional professional development opportunities, we are inviting experienced educators and instructors, training providers, and subject matter experts to submit their content ideas and proposals for consideration. CCE is particularly interested in courses and programs that can meet the evolving needs of our diverse learner community, enhance professional development, and align with current industry trends. Expected criteria for potential subject matter experts or course instructors:
– Resume, Curriculum Vitae (CV), or digital portfolio – Minimum of 1 – 2 years of teaching experience or similar – Does not have to be a Gallaudet alumni – Good standing with the University

– Deaf Studies – Deaf Education – American Sign Language – Professional and Business Writing – Leadership and Management – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) – Data Management and Analytics – Art and Design – Artificial Intelligence – Financial Literacy – Accounting
Through CCE, types of course and program offerings include: 
– Professional Development Courses – Certificate Programs – Trainings and Webinars – Boot Camps and Immersion Programs – Microcredential Courses (i.e. digital badges) – Subscribed Courses (i.e. bite-sized courses)
What are the next steps!? After reviewing your proposed idea, CCE will notify you of its status via email. CCE will also share the expected time commitment (depending on the content), our current platform for courses and programs, general support from CCE, and compensation for your work.

Our courses are taught by experienced faculty, instructors, and subject matter experts (SMEs) who are leaders in their respective fields. They bring a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to the classroom.

Instructors and SMEs are expected to have relevant professional experience, expertise in their subject matter, and a commitment to providing high-quality, accessible education. Background checks and other qualifications may be required depending on the course.
