Special Topic: This course focuses on fundraising and philanthropy in the nonprofit sector. The course will cover theories and practices in the fundraising and philanthropy world, including discussion of fundraising approaches, donor motivations, various types of campaigns, and methods such as personal solicitations, direct mail campaigns, annual giving campaigns, and social network-based fundraising, among other items. This course aims to prepare students for work or a career in the field of nonprofit fundraising and philanthropy.
