The CSTR uses all the following Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and IT instruments for teaching and research.

  1. Molecular Genetics Lab (HMB N449), 1,848 sq. ft: Centrifuges, Gel imaging, incubators, microscope, PCR thermocyclers, refrigerators, freezers, spectrophotometers, Type 1 ultrapure water faucet.
  2. Ecology Laboratory (HMB N448), 730 sq. ft: Autoclaves, centrifuges, dishwasher, incubators, sonifier, homogenizing drill, vacuum pumps, compound microscope, filtering apparatus, YSI probe, chlorophyll probe, refrigerators, freezers, sterile hood, type 1 ultrapure water faucet.
  3. Pharma Laboratory (HMB N447), 573 sq. ft: Rotary evaporator, vacuum oven, type 1 ultrapure water faucet.
  4. Freezer Room (HMB N452/N453), 130 sq. ft: Fisher Isotemp -80 oC freezers, Kenmore -20 oC freezers, DI water purification system.
  5. Chemistry Research Laboratory (HMB N442/N443/N444), 1,419 sq. ft: Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-VIS) spectrophotometers, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectrophotometer, High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS), Vernier portable instruments/probes, rotary evaporator, sterile hood, moisture-sensitive and air-sensitive handling capabilities, analytical balances, type 1 ultrapure water faucet.
  6. Physics laboratories: 3D printer, Supercomputer.
  7. Information Technology Laboratories: Accessible Information and Communications lab – Eye-trackers, video recorders, and servers for virtual machines.
