“One-stop” Student Service Center opens 

At Gallaudet, we want our students to have a CHAMP! experience. We have taken a giant step in that direction with the opening of a new Student Service Center on the first floor of the Sorenson Language and Communication Center (SLCC). This new center brings together the Office of the Registrar, the Office of Financial Aid, and Student Financial Services, with a new, central front desk and dedicated office space for each unit.  

The Office of the Registrar and the Office of Financial Aid were previously in Chapel Hall, while Student Financial Services was in College Hall.  

This is a two-phase project. Phase 1 is complete; Phase 2, later this spring, will add interior “storefront” doors and a new egress (exit) door.  

There will be a grand opening in February.
