The ASLPI is a standardized holistic language proficiency evaluation that provides testing nationally and internationally. The ASLPI provides comprehensive training, consultation and evaluation of American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency and communicative competence to promote each individual to higher education, intellectual and professional advancement for direct communication. The services provided by The ASLPI promote language and communication awareness, and support constituencies in the transition of becoming more involved participants in communities by improving communication accessibility.

The data and information generated by the ASLPI benefits not only individual language learning, but is also essential to universities, employers and governing bodies. Evaluating language elevates American Sign Language to its rightful place alongside English in support of bilingualism.
