ML2: Designing the 3D Landscape for Signing Avatars and the Signing Experience
Overview
This project investigates story-world building in virtual reality environments using the Oculus VR technology and systems through the Unity3D platform. To build our “worlds,” we took assets from our existing storybook apps and implemented them on Unity where users can “enter” through VR.
This project aims to better understand the deaf experience in virtual reality and the role of signers in a 3D built world. How do we want to define the signing 3D landscape and design accessible immersive learning experiences?
