Email Us
Gallaudet’s Internal Seed Fund Program fosters research activity by Gallaudet faculty, staff, and university students, by supporting research projects with small funding requirements that can be used within the same fiscal year. The goal of the seed fund program is to provide emerging researchers with funding opportunities that support activities advancing competitive research proposals, such as conducting preliminary work and facilitating collaboration.
To learn more and apply, you can access the Internal Seed Fund folder on the “Resources” tab on our MyGU page (requires institutional login).

Rooted in The Gallaudet Promise, the Research Excellence Awards aim to actively dismantle traditional barriers to inclusion and to support strong career opportunities for Gallaudet students.
The Provost Research Excellence Award focuses on the Gallaudet Promise Imperatives and supports research, scholarship, and creative activity that intentionally centers diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles in project design. Award amounts are between $10,000 and $39,999 for 12 months.
The President Research Excellence Award additionally focuses on a Gallaudet Promise Grand Challenge to support employment for DDBHH people and strengthen the pipeline for DDBHH youth and young adults to transition to expanded workforce pathways. Award amounts are between $40,000 to $50,000 for 11 months.
The application cycle for Research Excellence Awards is closed. Read about this year’s recipients here.
