Credentials: MSW, LICSW
Margaux Delotte-Bennett is a clinical social worker licensed to practice in Washington, DC. She holds a BA from The American University (1997) and an MSW from Gallaudet University (2007). Mrs. Delotte-Bennett joined Gallaudet University’s Department of Social Work in the summer of 2014 as a Lecturer and the Director of Field Education for the Baccalaureate and Masters Programs. She has taught in the BSW and MSW programs and advocated to hire a BA Field Assistant who eventually became the Director of Undergraduate Field Education. In addition to full-time employment at Gallaudet, Mrs. Delotte-Bennett is a member of a small, group private practice.
Mrs. Delotte-Bennett’s work experience has focused on the needs of runaway and homeless youth and women, teen parents, LGBTIQ+ individuals, those on the sexuality and gender spectrum, refugees, and asylum seekers. She is a hearing member of the ASL signing community and an advocate for accessibility and language access for all.
During her time at Gallaudet, Mrs. Delotte-Bennett has strived to think critically and act strategically when it comes to accessibility for social work students who are DHH, DeafBlind and Deaf+ (students who are Deaf and have other disabilities or diagnoses). She serves as the Chair of Gallaudet's Faculty Welfare Committee and as a Subcommittee leader for the Faculty of Color Coalition.
