Chizuko Tamaki
Professor

Credentials: AuD, PhD, CCC-A
Dr. Tamaki earned her AuD (2004) and PhD (2006) in Audiology at Gallaudet University. Having both the clinical and research doctorate degrees, she brings unique skills and perspectives to teaching students in the AuD Program. Until 2013 when Dr. Tamaki was asked to direct the AuD Program, she was actively involved in clinical service and practicum/internship supervision, while also teaching courses in the Program on the various temporary assignments and positions.
Currently, Dr. Tamaki serves as the AuD Program Director. In addition, she holds various committee appointments within the audiology organizations.
Dr. Tamaki is the Director of the Vestibular and Balance Lab at Gallaudet, where she engages in inter-professional research activities. Her lab websites are here and here.
Dr. Tamaki especially enjoys everything vestibular, and welcomes challenging patients and ideas for collaboration (clinically, research, and teaching)!
