Gallaudet Service Awards Program

Regular status employees are recognized for their service and unwavering commitment to Gallaudet University at each five-year milestone of service.

Each employee receives a personalized letter and certificate of service from the President, and is given a brochure of gift choices appropriate for their level of service.

The years of service includes appointments as an extended temporary employee and regular status employee.

The program is a choice program, today’s preferred method of recognition. You will have the opportunity to select from a broad selection of awards at each anniversary level. Every recipient will receive something personally meaningful, something that will become a lasting reminder of Gallaudet’s esteem. 

Engage2Excel was chosen because of their experience in the field of recognition, because of a broad selection of quality awards in their program, because of cost-effectiveness, and because they are known for their dedication to customer service.

You will still be recognized by your manager and presented with a certificate of recognition for your anniversary milestone starting with 5 years and continuing every five years up to 50 years. In addition, you will receive a small gift with the Gallaudet logo and a catalog of awards with levels according to your years of service.

It is important to note that among the choices of awards you may select items that are “green”, made from recycled products, or manufactured through green processes, items that benefit a charity by a portion of the cost going to the fund, or products that promote health and wellness. All of these items are identified with a symbol next to the item description in the catalog.

Awards are mailed to your home address or an address of your choosing. If you did not receive a service award, please submit a case to Human Resources.

Retirees

Retirees will receive a framed certificate of appreciation and a catalog of fine gifts from which to select a retirement award. You may choose to have your award personalized with the Gallaudet logo. Awards are mailed to your home address or an address of your choosing.
