Please join in donating to the Necessity of Now. Your gift is a powerful declaration of support for the Black Deaf community and for equitable and inclusive access to education and opportunities for Deaf and signing people.

With support from donors like you, Gallaudet will create a new public equitable outdoor learning space to honor the enduring impact of Louise B. Miller, a mother who fought for educational justice for Black Deaf children, the 24 students and four teachers from Kendall School Division II, and the rich history, culture, and achievements of Black Deaf people. Your gift also furthers the mission of our Center for Black Deaf Studies through scholarships, programming, and research. 

Gifts of $5,000 and above will be matched dollar for dollar until the $2 million matching fund is reached.

Names of matching donors will be included in the donor recognition wall in the Louise B. Miller Pathways and Gardens: A Legacy to Black Deaf Children. Naming rights opportunities are also available in the Pathways and Gardens for qualifying matching gifts.
