All university residence halls are equipped with laundry facilities, typically located on the lower level. Operating instructions are posted on bulletin boards within each laundry room. Both washers and dryers are $1.75 per use.

You can pay for your laundry cycles using:

  1. Coins
  2. Debit and Credit cards through the Speed Queen App

Using the Speed Queen App

The Speed Queen App allows you to pay for and monitor your laundry cycles. Please refer to the instruction flyer in the laundry room for more detailed information on installing and using the app.

  1. DOWNLOAD: Get the Speed Queen app from your app store.
  2. CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT: You must use your Gallaudet email address to set up your account.
  3. LOCATION PIN: Tap “Add location” and enter GUWDC1
  4. LOCATE: Find your laundry room in the app, then select the specific machine you want to use.
  5. PAY: Use your credit or debit card to add funds to your account. There is a $10 minimum deposit.

Report a Laundry Problem

If you encounter an issue with a laundry machine:

  • Scan the QR code located on each machine and complete the report form.

  • To request a refund for coin-operated cycles that did not work, contact Caldwell & Gregory Laundry at 1-800-927-9274 or via email at service@caldwellandgregory.com.
