About
Rakesh Veerabhadrappa is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Gallaudet University. He is the recipient of the prestigious ‘Travers Reid’ award at the 2021 Oxford Dysfluency Conference, UK, and the NIH Travel Grant Award 2022, Montreal, Canada. His research focuses on the mechanisms underlying stuttering, its treatment, and emotional issues in stuttering and voice disorders. He has more than 6 years of teaching experience with graduate and postgraduate students in speech and hearing, and 11 years of clinical experience. He has published more than 18 research articles in peer-reviewed, Scopus-indexed international journals. He also has four book manuals, three book chapters, and an extramural project in the field of stuttering to his credit. He has presented scientific research at various national and international conferences and won five Best Paper Awards. He received his post-graduation and doctoral degrees in speech-language pathology from the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, University of Mysore, India.
