During Homecoming 2025, Gallaudet University will host a special site dedication ceremony for the Louise B. Miller Pathways and Gardens: A Legacy to Black Deaf Children.

The event will be held in front of the Kellogg Conference Hotel on Thursday, October 23 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The site dedication will celebrate the progress of the Necessity of Now (NOW) fundraising campaign as Gallaudet begins a powerful new chapter in its history.

The NOW campaign will fund the Pathways and Gardens, student scholarships, and research and programming at Gallaudet’s Center for Black Deaf Studies. To date, we have raised more than $22 million of our $23 million goal – we are over 96% of the way to the finish line!

If you haven’t made a gift to Necessity of Now, there is still time! Each and every gift—no matter what the size—will be matched dollar-for-dollar thanks to a generous matching gift fund from an anonymous Gallaudet alum.

Construction for the Louise B. Miller Pathways and Gardens will take place from February to Fall 2026.
