Overview
As part of the Facilities Management Unit, Environmental Health, and Safety (EHS) is devoted to ensuring the campus community with a safe and healthy environment for work, academics, research, and residential living.
EHS is responsible for most campus safety initiatives and works to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to occupational safety, environmental health, and environmental regulations.
EHS’s Environmental Point of View involves being proactive in creating a systematic approach to managing waste streams and complying with environmental regulations.
EHS’s Health & Safety Point of View – includes processes/measures to address workplace safety that affects employees’ and students’ health and well-being.
